AGreat opportunity to learn authentic traditional dances of the islands and enjoy learning the culture. SPRING Dance CLASS SCHEDULE 2011

(Classes will start April 2 - June 25, 2011

Dates of Classes: April 2-9-16-30 May 7-14-28 June 4-18-25

 

Basic Hula Dance Class                                              Adults/Children Beginner)       

10Weeks Sessions

10:00- 11:00 A.M. Saturdays                     Min.: 5 students  Max.: 20 Students

Class Fee:  $58.00

In this class students will learn the basic hula steps and movements in Hawaiian Language. Students will also learn the hula history, Hawaiian culture and tradition to appreciate the dances. At the end of the sessions students will be able to dance to  classic songs of the islands. Bring your “Sarong” to wear during the class.

 

Advance Hula Dance Class                                Teens/ YoungAdults/Semior Adults                            

 10 Weeks Sessions

11:00- 12:00  Noon Saturdays                      Min.: 5 students  Max: 20 students

Class Fee:  $ 60.00

Students in this class will learn more techniques in hula movements and knowledge of the culture and hula traditions. The students  in this class will have the opportunity to perform with the group when invited to do a hula performances within and around our community events. We will be learning new dances (Tahitian/Aparema).The class starts with a 10 minutes hula warm ups. Please bring your "Sarong" skirt to wear during the class.

If classes will be cancelled due to a bad weather conditions, students will be notified, Make up class will be scheduled.It is advised that individuals wishing to participate be aware of possible strennous  activity and may wish to check with a physician prior to registration.
